INFRA Skills (ATS) LTD, a subsidiary of Auctus Management Group LTD, actively participated in the Talent Match Black Country annual conference on 27th April 2018. The conference aimed to support young individuals facing difficulties in entering the job market. Talent Match Black Country works with 18-24-year-olds who are not in employment, education, or training, assisting them on their path to gainful employment.
Insight from Employer’s Perspective
Rose Rees, the Training and Development Manager representing the Midland Metro Alliance, shared valuable insights during the conference. She emphasized the alliance’s vision of creating sustainable employment opportunities for local residents, aligning with the objectives of Talent Match Black Country.
Success Story
Omari Thomas, a previous mentee of the Talent Match program, also spoke at the conference. After his time in custody at HMP Brinsford YOI, Talent Match supported Omari in his journey back into the job market. Omari’s experiences included engaging with policy makers in Westminster, attending national business exhibitions and franchise events, as well as interviewing local business owners. His aspirations to open his own restaurant have been bolstered through the program.
Positive Impact and Future Prospects
Over the past four years, Talent Match has successfully engaged and supported over 1,500 young people, enabling them to overcome significant barriers, develop new skills, gain confidence, access volunteering opportunities, secure work placements, and ultimately find sustainable employment. The Midland Metro Alliance, in collaboration with INFRA Skills, aims to further enhance these achievements by providing additional training opportunities.
