Throughout the duration of this programme, our highly skilled and experienced trainers will assist you in obtaining a variety of qualifications to begin a career in Rail or Construction. For three weeks, Monday through Friday, you will be needed to work at our Training Centre with Specialist Rail Training Area in Aston, Birmingham, from 8.30 a.m. to 16.30 p.m. The Adult Education Budget (AEB) of the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) is being used to fund this programme, which aims to prepare adults for work, upskill current employees, and provide specialist training.


Our Funded Learning programme is divided into two phases and is spread out over 15 days. PTS E-Learning, PTS Practical, DCCR, OLEC 1, Small Plant, Track Induction, and Interviews are all part of Phase 2 (10 days). The course will cover the essentials to start a career in Rail or Construction.


For candidates from the West Midlands, a funded learning training programme centred in Birmingham will provide you with recognised qualifications and the necessary experience to begin a career in construction or rail, as well as a guarantee of a job interview with RSS Infrastructure. For people aged 18 and above who wish to learn the essential rail and construction skills needed to get started working in this exciting profession, INFRA Skills provides a three-week programme split into two phases. 
All candidates must be able to present a valid form of identification, such as a passport or a valid UK driver’s licence. To be considered for the course, you must pass a drug and alcohol test as well as a medical exam. These will be taken out at the Aston-based INFRA Skills office. Throughout the programme, random D&A tests will be conducted. You must be on time and present on every scheduled day.
