Summary

This course provides training for individuals to assume the role of a Lookout, responsible for alerting track workers of approaching trains. Participants will also be qualified as a Site Warden, ensuring individuals remain within safe working limits, specifically 2 metres from any open line.

Aims & Objectives

The primary aim of this course is to equip candidates with the skills and knowledge required to perform the duties of a Lookout and Site Warden effectively. By the end of the course, participants will be proficient in executing their roles in line with the Rule Book and pertinent railway Group Standards.

Requirements

Recertification is mandatory every two years to guarantee that the individual remains trained and competent.

Course Completion and Sentinel Upload

On Completion

When applicable, once you successfully complete your course or assessment, a member of our staff will update your competency in the Sentinel system. You can order your Sentinel smart cards directly from Sentinel at www.railsentinel.co.uk. Please note that this will incur an additional cost which you will be responsible for covering.
