This classroom-based course offers delegates a foundational knowledge of OLEC Construction sites, equipping them with the skills required to access an Overhead Line construction site. It covers documentation basics, reporting component parts, and construction activities. Recertification is not necessary for this course.

Aims & Objectives

By the end of this course, delegates will be able to:

  • Explain the boundaries of their authority.
  • Provide an overview of the primary component parts of the OLE infrastructure.
  • Identify the main hazards and risks of OLE construction sites and activities.
  • Adhere to the safe access procedures.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Accurately complete relevant records and forward them to the appropriate individual.
  • Follow established recording and reporting procedures.

Requirements

No recertification is required for this course.

When applicable, once you successfully complete your course or assessment, a member of our staff will update your competency in the Sentinel system. You can order your Sentinel smart cards directly from Sentinel at www.railsentinel.co.uk. Please note that this will incur an additional cost which you will be responsible for covering.
