This is a classroom-based course, providing delegates with a basic understanding of OLEC Construction sites, enabling them to enter an Overhead Line construction site. Delegates will learn a basic understanding of documentation, reporting component parts and construction activities. No recert is required.


On successful completion of the course Candidates will be able to:

  • Explain the limits of their personal authority
  • Give a brief description of the main component parts of the OLE infrastructure
  • Describe the main hazards and risks associated with OLE construction sites and activities
  • Follow the safe access procedure
  • Comply with the health and safety regulations
  • Complete relevant records accurately and pass them on to the appropriate person• Follow recording and reporting procedure’s


Upon successful completion of this course, your new competency will be uploaded to Sentinel by one of our administrators. Sentinel smart cards are ordered directly from Sentinel at www.railsentinel.co.uk (at your own cost).
