INFRA Skills help provide ex Armed Forces personnel with the skills and qualifications to make a successful transition from the Armed Forces into infrastructure.
In support of Network Rail’s commitment to ‘Putting People First’, INFRA Skills has a long-standing history of reducing the skills shortage through its Local Enterprise Partnerships which include working with colleges, prisons, charities, and government departments to help those with disabilities or individuals struggling to find employment by reducing the number of barriers facing them.
As part of the Network Rail’s mandate to ‘improve the number of women employed by 50%’, INFRA Skills has developed courses specifically tailored for women and is a part of the ‘Women in Rail’ committee, which meets to discuss methods of increasing amount of females operating in the Rail sector. These initiatives have led to the amount of female employees rising to 50%.
