Training Provider for Rail & Construction

INFRA Skills focuses on delivering high-quality training and assessments. Our service-driven philosophy is embedded into all aspects of the business and is backed up by our dedicated training team.

Our aim is to deliver a range of services covering safety, people solutions, training and community engagement to the highest possible standards from our training suite in Birmingham, Newport and Doncaster.

Catalogue of Awarding Bodies

The organisation encourages its workforce to identify initiatives that will assist in providing a lasting legacy for the industry and employers as it moves into the next control period. To that end, the company has focused on creating an all-inclusive catalogue of awarding bodies that includes; Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM), City & Guilds and Highfield qualifications up to Level 5, CITB, LANTRA and National Skills Academy (Network Rail approved) competency training.

NSAR Recognition for Rail Delivery

INFRA Skills was awarded a GOLD Standard from NSAR for its delivery of rail courses for two years running. This award recognises the high-quality professional training programmes that have enabled learners to demonstrate staff competency, qualification and safety to meet with the national standards.

All of our programmes adhere to all Quality Assurance processes relevant to the accrediting and awarding bodies. As part of this process, the company regularly reviews and conducts a self-assessment (SAR) that is benchmarked against the company’s own high-quality standard as well as continually monitoring/reviewing the company’s Quality Improvement Action Plan (QIP). The company’s Quality Assessment (QA) processes are developed, implemented and reviewed from a strategic level to operations and delivery programmes.

Driving ‘Excellence Through People’

The leadership team understands that in order for the industry to continue to grow, the industry needs businesses that are focused on acquiring, retaining talent and driving ‘Excellence Through People.’ The nature of the infrastructure sector is highly competitive and businesses need a workforce that can deliver efficiently and safely. This is why we have expanded our delivery to include; the UK’s first Rail Apprenticeship Standard, RISQS Approved Drugs and Alcohol, Psychometric Testing, EDI Training, First Aid and the Gold, Silver and Gold Assessment. The assessment is compiled of questions based around the Safe System of Work Hierarchy and general COSS duties, giving an overall grading for the worker at Bronze, Silver or Gold level. Each worker is given feedback and a report summarising the results, and where required a breakdown of the areas for development.

The company has been recognised by both Network Rail and Rail Media for its work in driving excellence and innovation in several award categories such as safety, sustainability, community engagement as well as providing evidence on successful partnerships.
