Aims & Objectives

The primary objective of this course is to enhance an individual’s understanding as outlined in module OLEC 2 of standard NR/L2/CTM/028. It aims to provide delegates with foundational training to safely and effectively carry out basic OLE construction tasks under guidance. For recertification, candidates must possess a valid Sentinel Smartcard endorsed with PTS AC, OLEC 1 & 2 competencies.

Requirements

  • Participants should bring a valid Sentinel Smartcard endorsed with PTS AC, OLEC 1 & 2 competencies.
  • An OLEC logbook with relevant entries from the last OLEC 2 training event is required.
  • Completion of Working at Heights regulation training, Emergency First Aid, and Safe Manual Handling courses is mandatory.
  • Candidates must meet the medical standards of Network Rail Standard NR/L2/OHS/00124 and NR/L2/OHS/0120 (Drugs & Alcohol).
  • Sponsors are responsible for ensuring that candidates are fit and eligible for the training

On Completion

When applicable, once you successfully complete your course or assessment, a member of our staff will update your competency in the Sentinel system. You can order your Sentinel smart cards directly from Sentinel at www.railsentinel.co.uk. Please note that this will incur an additional cost which you will be responsible for covering.
