Aims & Objectives

The course’s primary objective is to enhance the delegate’s knowledge and understanding as outlined in the OLEC 2 module of the standard NR/L2/CTM/028. By the end of the course, participants will be proficient in executing basic OLE construction tasks under guidance.

Requirements

  • A valid Sentinel card endorsed with PTS AC and OLEC 1 competency is mandatory.
  • Before working on an OLE construction site, delegates must have completed the Working at Heights regulation training, Emergency First Aid, and Safe Manual Handling courses.
  • Medical clearance as per Network Rail Standard NR/L2/OHS/00124 to a minimum medical level 4 and Network Rail Standard NR/L2/OHS/0120 (Drugs & Alcohol) is essential.
  • Required PPE: Hard hat, Orange Hi-Visibility PPE (RIS-3279-TOM standard), Safety Boots with comprehensive ankle and mid-sole protection, and gloves.

Course Completion and Sentinel Upload

On Completion

When applicable, once you successfully complete your course or assessment, a member of our staff will update your competency in the Sentinel system. You can order your Sentinel smart cards directly from Sentinel at www.railsentinel.co.uk. Please note that this will incur an additional cost which you will be responsible for covering.
