Cembre Donation Supports OLE Training Programme

Cembre Tools Donated to OLE Training Programme

Cembre has donated £20,000 worth of specialist tools to INFRA Skills to support training in overhead line engineering at the NCATI site in Birmingham. The tools will be used to train the next generation of overhead line engineers, ensuring that they are equipped with the latest knowledge and techniques.

Sam Turrell, Sales Engineer, Cembre joined NCATI Principal, Ian Fitzpatrick, Richard Toy, CEO, Auctus Management Group, Sean Harrison, MD, RSS Infrastructure, and Steven Morley, General Manager, INFRA Skills, at a recent OLE training session led by Senior OLE Trainer, Neil Litchfield, to mark this generous donation.

OLE Training Span in Birmingham

NCATI have worked with INFRA Skills, who have installed an OLE span in the heart of Birmingham in their bespoke training area. The college has granted exclusive access to the span to INFRA Skills who have developed an OLE Training Programme.

Senior OLE Trainer, Neil Litchfield, has worked with Steven Morley to identify a comprehensive training programme that will train and develop the next generation of OLE specialists.

Richard Toy, CEO of Auctus Management Group, commented, “The training that we are delivering at NCATI is of the highest standard. This is supported by the generous donation from Cembre. This will enable us to train more OLE operatives to work on OLE networks safely and effectively”.

Exclusive Access for INFRA Skills

“We also offer Ian Fitzpatrick and NCATI our thanks and appreciation for allowing us to install the OLE span and have exclusive access to it. It’s a wonderful facility that can now teach OLE operatives from across the United Kingdom.”

The OLE training programme delivered by INFRA Skills at NCATI is proving to be very popular with employers and they are quickly becoming the OLE training provider of choice.

Innovative OLE Training Programme

Steven Morley, General Manager of INFRA Skills added; “The OLE training programme is intended to provide operatives with the skills and knowledge necessary to work safely on OLE networks. Apprentices, experienced track workers, and OLE Operatives will all benefit from the training.”

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain the latest skills and knowledge to enable track-based staff to work safely and effectively on OLE networks.

NCATI & INFRA Skills Partnership

NCATI Principal, Ian Fitzpatrick said: “The generosity of Cembre in supporting this programme through the donation of £20,000 of specialist tools is very much appreciated by everyone involved. The OLE training that INFRA Skills provides at NCATI is essential, and this donation will help them to train even more overhead line engineers.”

Cembre offers its experience in the electrotechnical industry to the railway sector, developing solutions targeted at electrical connection and rail maintenance.

Supporting Next Generation of OLE Engineers

Sam Turrell, Sales Engineer who attended the event at NCATI, commented, “We are excited to support the college’s initiatives as well as the INFRA Skills programme, which is aimed at training a new generation of OLE engineers. The OLE industry is evolving, and this contribution will help to ensure that the next generation of OLE engineers has access to the most up-to-date tools, information and methods.”

Generous contributions from Amey Rail, Unipart Rail, and Colas Rail also helped INFRA Skills set up the OLE training area. Together they have worked with us to facilitate our OLE training programme and develop the skills of those working in the rail industry.
